Why do we think that music has a meaning, and how does this bear on the value of music and its place in our lives?
Professor Roger Scruton studied Moral Sciences at Jesus College from 1962-65. Following this he became a research student in 1967 and was a Research Fellow at Peterhouse from 1969-71. Since 1994 he has been a freelance writer and consultant.
